Transport America

What we offer our drivers

The culture at our headquarters is very different from what you've ever experienced. We value a driver-friendly atmosphere with an open door policy - our open doors mean access to all levels of management. You're never a number here, our senior leadership team and CEO are always available, meaning that our drivers are welcome anywhere, anytime. You'll never be faced with locked doors or have to talk through a glass window to speak to us. Our commitment to the people who drive for us starts with the accessibility of our leaders.

What we've got for you.

Transport America operates in 48 states and Canada, but the majority of freight originates and terminates east of I-35. With a focus on building density in key lanes, Transport America is better able to serve customers and provide more home time options for our driver.

Driver opportunities within our network include:

OTR Division - Drivers haul freight across all points of our network. Expected home time is every 10 to 14 days.

Dedicated Fleets - Drivers in our dedicated fleets may operate from a single customer location or cover multiple locations in a geographic area. Transport America Dedicated drivers have more predictable home time and work schedules, familiarity with delivery and pick-up locations and consistent travel routes.

Lifestyle Fleets - Recognizing that driver home time needs differ, Transport America developed the 7/7 and 14/7 fleets to provide our drivers with extended home time options.

  • Under the 7/7 program, drivers are out for 7 days and then home for 7 days.
  • Under the 14/7 program, drivers are out for 14 days and then home for 7 days.

As part of these programs, drivers share a tractor with one or two other drivers, meaning more home time for you and a more efficient use of equipment for the company.

  • Team Drivers - Recognizing that teams must keep moving to maximize earnings, Fleet leaders at Transport America plan and dispatch their teams to maximize productivity.
